Our Story

Antiques are a connection to the past, bringing depth, soul, and a sense of story
to any room, making a home feel curated, layered, and truly one of a kind.

A well-designed space isn’t about following trends. It’s about creating a home that feels collected over time. Whether it’s a 19th-century cabinet still wearing its original paint, a rustic farm table built to withstand another century of gatherings, or salvaged architectural elements that bring history into a modern home, we believe old pieces elevate a space in a way that new ones simply cannot.

At East End Salvage, we are passionate about uncovering and preserving the details that make each piece worth saving: hand-hewn wood worn smooth over centuries, naturally crackled paint, and the subtle imperfections left by time and use. We value original finishes, hand-carved craftsmanship, and authentic materials that speak to a piece’s history.

The story behind East End Salvage

I’m Kaci, founder of East End Salvage. Together with my husband Robert, my mother Luann, and my friend Annaliese, we source and sell one-of-a-kind European antiques and architectural salvage.

I earned my degree in interior design and hold the Allied ASID designation. That formal training shapes the way I see old pieces, not simply as objects, but as elements that bring warmth, character, and soul to a home. I began importing from Europe in 2009, building relationships with trusted dealers and learning to recognize the craftsmanship, surface, and history that make a piece truly special.

East End Salvage is the third small business Robert and I have built together. We launched a decorative painting business in our 20s. In our 30s, we operated a retail store and a farm-to-table restaurant; Robert is also a classically trained chef. Each chapter has been rooted in design, hospitality, and the pleasure of creating something memorable.

My love of retail began even earlier with Luann. As a child, my “after-school program” was the gift-wrap room of her luxury home goods store, and she taught me much of what I know about making people feel welcome. Today, she brings that same warmth and retail experience to East End Salvage. Annaliese adds her eye for styling and love of history, often digging into the stories behind the pieces we find.

Our name pays homage to our historic property in McKinney, Texas, a place with stories of its own and the home base for the collection we continue to build.

Behind the scenes, Megan and Kris carefully inspect every piece and repair or restore it as needed, preserving the original finishes, patina, and signs of age that made us fall in love with it. The goal is never to make an antique look new. It is to help it remain beautiful, functional, and ready for its next chapter.

We believe in preserving and appreciating what already exists rather than filling homes with more mass-produced pieces. Every piece we choose is selected for its authenticity, quality, and character, and for the way it can make a room feel unlike any other.

Thank you for being here. We hope you’ll find something with a story that becomes part of yours.
