19th Century Hungarian Zinc Roof Finial, Small

Whether you believe that installing a lightning rod finial atop rooftops will discourage airborne witches from making unexpected landings on one’s home, or you merely think they are purely decorative pieces, this antique salvaged zinc roof finial is steeped in history and has stood the test of time. We can only imagine the scenes it has looked over in its days. Displayed on a piece of reclaimed wood, this architectural fragment is now a beautiful sculptural element for use either inside the home or out.

• Found in Hungary, 19th century

• Finial has been fitted onto a (removable) custom stand constructed of wood salvaged from a local McKinney historic building

• Rust and wear consistent with its age and exposure to the elements over time

• Zinc finial measures approximately 5” W diameter at the widest point x 18 1/2” H
