Antique French Servant Bell
Antique servant bells found in France. Once found in the kitchen or servant’s quarters in a prominent country house, these bells would have been connected at the top with a cord, which would then be connected to pulleys through to the main room in the house so the homeowner would have a means of contacting the household staff. The hand-forged iron spike at the back of the bell allowed for the ease of attaching it to the wall. Providing a window into bygone eras, these bells serve as captivating decorative accents, infusing your home with character and a rich sense of history.
