Antique Pull Toy Horse

Once a child’s beloved toy, this charming Victorian pull toy horse is the perfect accessory to add character to any vignette in your modern home. Whether displayed on a shelf in a nursery or an entry table with a stack of vintage books, we’re sure this little treasure will be a conversation piece!

The horse is crafted from papier-mâché over a wooden base with a painted burlap covering. The saddle and bridle are leather, and his face is hand-painted with metal tacks for his eyes. The saddle blanket is crafted from brown felt. His legs are painted wood and are joined to the base, which retains all four original metal wheels, with mortise and tenon construction.

• Metal stirrups are no longer attached (as found)

• One hoof is detached from base (as found)

• Stamped “Made in USA Patented” on underside of base

• Overall wear consistent with age and use
