Reclaimed French Terra Cotta Tiles

Reclaimed hexagonal terra cotta tiles handmade in France. Originally installed over sand, these tiles are very clean and do not have the old mortar attached to them. as many of the reclaimed tiles do. Some (not all) are stamped on one side, “S.te G.le des Tomettes & Ceramiques”, “Salernes (var) France”.

These warm and lovely tiles would make an excellent mudroom or laundry room floor, guest bathroom floor, or kitchen backsplash in a new build.

• Found in France and ready to install

• Tiles are approximately 4.25” hexagons that are 5/16 thick

• Lot includes 600 pieces plus 20 that are chipped

• The lot is approximately 60+ square feet in total

• Tiles have been brushed off, but not scrubbed or chemically treated. Once installed, these tiles could be treated if a more consistent look is desired.

• Good overall condition. Small chips, losses, light staining, and surface wear consistent with having been used and reclaimed.

• A penetrating sealer is recommended, not only to protect the tiles but to darken and richen the colors.

• Suitable for indoor floors, most wall applications, wet areas, and exterior patio flooring
