18 Drawer Filing Cabinet
A solid wood antique Craftsman period “Wabash Rival Letter File” cabinet. Constructed by the Rockwell & Rupel Manufacturers, Chicago, IL, the cabinet boasts 18 narrow drawers featuring brass label pull handles.
Each of the 18 drawers pulls out completely and tilts down for ease of reviewing documents contained within. Metal spring clips contained within each drawer raise and lower to hold papers in place. Decorative molding at the top and base of the cabinet adds a touch of sophistication to the straightforward design.
A wonderful piece of history, this handsome cabinet is both good-looking and functional, providing generous storage opportunities for your home office.

Solid oak construction with a medium-tone stain
Original dark espresso stain
Three of the brass label pull handles have been replaced with simple mushroom knobs (as found)
A plaque affixed to the bottom of the cabinet states “Rockwell & Rupel Manufacturers Chicago”
Weathered inventory sheets are affixed to the inside of each drawer
Minor damage to areas of the trim around the body of the cabinet is present
A few of the drawers are missing side panels
Metal flat panel brackets have been added at the back for support, as found
Overall measurements approximately 30.625” W x 16.5” D x 41.25” H (42.375” H including trim)
