Late 19th-century French cast cement recumbent pastoral animal with a beautifully weathered surface and remnants of historic white and gray paint. Time and elements have softened the form, giving it a quiet, sculptural presence suited for garden or interior display.
Found in France, circa 1870 - 1900
Remnants of the original white and gray painted surface
Naturally weathered with time and exposure
One ear has been repaired (a long time ago, as found)
Antlers are no longer present; areas have been patched
Surface wear consistent with age and outdoor use
