Throughout history, decorative finials have been placed atop virtually every type of building rooftop imaginable. They have taken on many forms, from the more regal examples (acorns, fleurs-de-lis and spheres) to gothic in nature (gargoyles and dragons). Although typically adorning the peak of a roof, finials can are also known to be found at the corners of a building or structure. Captivated by its whimsical form, we have attached this beautiful architectural fragment to a custom reclaimed wood stand, giving it a new lease on life as a one-of-a-kind sculptural element to be displayed in the garden or inside the home.
