Late 19th-century French laundry table handcrafted from elm, with an exceptionally narrow plank top and splayed A-frame legs. The base features traditional pegged joinery and distinctive crossed diagonal braces, reflecting the simple, practical construction of its original utilitarian purpose.
The elm has a softly worn, naturally aged surface with visible marks, irregularities, and subtle undulation developed through generations of use. At nearly 6½ feet long yet less than 12 inches deep, its unusually slender proportions make it especially well suited as a console or display table where floor space is limited.
Found in France, circa 1890
Hand-crafted from elm wood
Scratches, nicks, and stains consistent with age and use
Sturdy and structurally sound
Measures approximately 79.125” L x 11.75” W x 30.25” H
