Antique Sea Chest
This early 19th-century sailor’s sea chest was found in Maine. A handmade and substantial piece with the original slate blue/gray paint on all four sides. It would make an excellent coffee table.
The top is natural wood but has tons of character marks from years of use in a workshop
The chest bracket handles are missing, but new ones could be ordered online if desired
The interior iron hardware is hand-forged and original
The piece has been cleaned and a thin coat of wax has been applied
Approximately 40.5” long x 20.5” wide x 16” high
