Fire Safe Factory Door, 43” x 85.5”
Single arched-top fire-safe factory door, constructed of heavy-gauge metal and originally designed for industrial fireproof use. The surface shows extensive natural oxidation with a richly layered patina, including remnants of black crackle paint along with traces of green and red beneath.
Original hardware remains intact, including the handle and locking elements, all showing wear consistent with age and industrial use. The door’s weight, riveted construction, and arched form give it a strong visual presence and unmistakable factory character.
Salvaged in the USA, circa 1900 - 1930

Heavy-gauge metal construction with substantial weight
Extensive surface oxidation and rust throughout, consistent with age and factory use
Layered paint remnants visible, including black crackle paint with traces of green and red beneath
Original handle and locking hardware present
Surface wear, pitting, scratches, and areas of paint loss throughout
Structurally solid; intended for decorative or architectural reuse
