Slightly rolled arms, wonderful intricate hand-carved details having a scroll, floral and leaf motif, and lovely fluted turned legs lend an air of sophisticated beauty to this Swedish Gustavian style sofa. Reupholstered in an understated linen fabric, the horsehair stuffed cushions have been brought back to life, while still allowing the wooden frame to take the spotlight.

• Found in Sweden, early 19th c.

• Frame is handcrafted from solid wood and bears a dark espresso stain with a few remnants of the original dry-scraped white paint

• Cushions and body have been covered in a high-quality European, 100% linen
