The Ferris wheel, as we know it, was invented in 1893 by George Washington Gale Ferris and debuted at the World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago. Since its original inception, many other Ferris wheels have been constructed in its likeness, and have brought about feelings of awe and unbridled joy ever since.

  • Brocade fabric and tassels have pulled loose from a few of the gondolas

  • Tassels are missing from a few areas

  • Overall condition consistent with age and use
