Ideal in height, the counter would make a wonderful bar or kitchen island while infusing a modern home with a layer of history.

A specialist painting technique that imitates the texture and patterns of wood, “faux bois”, or “woodgraining”, has been used for centuries to enhance the appearance of architectural elements and furniture pieces both indoors and out. Layers of paint, pigmentation, and oils or varnishes allowed common wood species such as pine or oak to mimic more exotic species such as mahogany, thus minimizing costs while not skimping on style.
